The Story of D.
“The new love I felt with the birth of my second baby is incomparable. It’s especially important to me that our new member has deepened my feelings and connection to my first child.” – Our client, D., 43 years old.
The coronavirus pandemic in March 2020 brought a wave of uncertainty. How to advise pregnant women in those times? Thus, the YOU ARE NOT ALONE online counseling center became a refuge for many women.
Among them was D., a mother of a teenager, who had long dreamed of a second child. After years of trying, hoping, and facing disappointments, she had accepted the thought of being a mother of one. However, during the pandemic, a positive pregnancy test changed everything.
Engulfed in fear and uncertainty, she wondered how her first child would accept a sibling and how she would manage pregnancy in her forties during a pandemic. Her search for answers led her to the YOU ARE NOT ALONE Counseling Center.
Her conversations with our psychologist were emotionally charged. D.’s primary concern was how her family would welcome the new family member. The psychologist’s reassurance was pivotal: “You were brave to have a child as a student. There’s no reason you can’t be braver now as a mature woman.”
This insight and the support she received empowered her. She decided to embrace the pregnancy. The arrival of a beautiful baby girl brought immense joy, making their family stronger and more complete.
Today, D. thrives in her career, stronger than ever, sharing her journey as an inspiration. Her story is part of the book “YOU ARE NOT ALONE,” celebrating the courage and strength of motherhood.
